Having released their debut LP titled “We Don’t Belong Here” back in 2008, Violent Soho received a terrific response from all around the world, so much so that Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) signed them to his record label Ecstatic Peace! and released the band’s self titled sophomore record. This record yielded the single “Jesus Stole My Girlfriend” which went on to peak at #21 on the Billboard Alternative charts. After this the four friends from Mansfield (QLD, 4122) were invited to tour the USA with acts such as Dinosaur Jr, The Bronx, Built to Spill, and Alice in Chains as well as a personal request to play the UK’s prestigious “All Tomorrow’s Parties” by the festival’s 2011 curator, Les Savy Fav.
Featuring Luke Boerdam’s starkly recognizable vocals, “Tinderbox” picks up where Violent Soho left off as it tears through your speakers aggressively yet still maintaining the melodic song structure that the band have become so well-loved for.
