Tom Eddy – The Bread Maker’s Blues

Seattle musician Tom Eddy, of Beat Connection and Doldrums, is out with his second EP, The Bread Maker’s Blues. Following his solo debut The Art of Escaping, Eddy continues his brand of deeply blues-laden folk. This time around the influence was Parisian (hence the bread maker), as Eddy spent part of 2011 living in France. The old world sensibility pervades the recording process, where vintage equipment was used. All five tracks are strong in their own right, but for a taste of these powerful blues take a listen to opener “Welfare” and “Sunday Market/Tear Down.” – Written by SMarx
