"Over Land and Sea is an impressive debut for Lauren Mann; it proves that songs don't have to be angry, whiny or sniveling to be compelling, and that love and hope can inspire art as beautiful, if not more so, as what pain or loss is capable of conjuring." - Exclaim

At the end of 2010, Calgary’s Lauren Mann decided to make her home the open road and began to pursue a full-time music career. She released Stories From Home, a collection of songs that had been recorded over the past four years, and booked a 65-day tour across Canada with shows in every province.

Since then, Lauren Mann & The Fairly Odd Folk which include Jay Christman (drums, guitar),Jessica Christman (bass, additional keys, BGV’s), and Zoltan Szoges (additional keys, percussion, glockenspiel) have played close to 400 shows throughout North America and now they are ready to hit the road again. Produced by Aaron Marsh in Lakeland, Florida, Over Land And Sea illustrates Lauren’s gift of songwriting with a wide array of instrumentation, beautiful harmonies, and lyrics that tell of whimsical adventures. Adventures that are only beginning.
