Submotion Orchestra, the Leeds based 7-piece live electronica outfit, have announced details of their forthcoming third album Alium to be released on November 3rd on Counter Records. Bigger, brighter and bolder than ever Alium sees the band in expansive mood as the interplay between their electronic and acoustic sounds has become more natural than ever, whilst Ruby Wood's vocals continue to find new levels of emotion.

Written over two years in the remote Welsh countryside with just 'passing sheep and a rusty ping-pong table for company' and recorded in Brighton, Alium’s 12 songs run the range from neon synth strafed electronica to brusing 21st Century Soul via tense cinematic instrumentals and uplifting urban pop.

With a busy summer schedule that will see the band play over a dozen festivals in 7 different countries, Submotion Orchestra have also announced details of a 19 date UK and European tour this November and December including a headline show at London’s HMV Forum.

Two of the album's tracks are streaming on Soundcloud now and fans of the band can now pre-order the album now from iTunes or the Ninja Tune online store and receive an instant download of the track City Lights.
