Just released today, In Basements is the new full-length from infectious DC-based rockers The Sea Life. One of the album’s best cuts, “Coin Machine”, alternates between an anthemic chorus bursting with jubilation, and a slightly gritty verse that borders more on spoken-word than melodic crooning. The contrast is noticeable, but remains cohesive and within the band’s style of jangled art-rock. “Coin Machine” is one of the band’s more energetic tracks, showing merely one side of their excellent release.
